OPERATIONS MANAGER (WEST OF LONDON)

This successful and award winning (non-automotive, non-unionized) manufacturing facility prides itself on rewarding excellence at every level.
On their behalf, we are recruiting for an Operations Manager who will pride themselves on providing strong leadership and support to their skilled and dedicated teams. This facility is home to a high volume, fast-paced processing facility that runs a 3-shift operation. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary, performance bonus plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and motivate teams to safely reach or exceed operational KPIs while meeting or exceeding corporate quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to keep employees motivated, dedicated and engaged.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to improve processes, reduce labour content, and improve safety by applying a practical problem-solving approach.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to make positive changes and have experience in 5S(6S) and SQDC systems.
- Coordinate between quality assurance and manufacturing teams to promote systems to ensure corporate quality standards are continually met or exceeded.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as engineering, operations management or business management.
- 3-5 years in a production or facilities leadership role.
- Hands on leadership style and the ability to engage, mentor and lead a team to success.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, leadership and employee development skills.
- Superior analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution and operational planning capabilities.
